Suggest Treatment For Lower Abdominal Pain And Blood In The Stool

Question: Hi
I am a 38 female and for the past 3 years I have had lower abdominal pain
Colonoscopy 3 years ago couldn't be completed due to horrible pain on the first turn the doctor saw "clusters " of polyps on the part she could see and a colonography was performed after and nothing major came up
Another colonoscopy 1 year ago was undiagnosed due to the prep not working properly, he didn't see clusters but said internal haemorrhoids
The past six months my pain is horrible , every time I urinate I pass mucus and blood from my anus
I am not straining to pass a stool but when I do I first pass pea sized blood clots ( maybe 10-20) hen drip blood and then the stool comes out full of blood laced into it ?
My doctor says IBS and haemorrhoids but I don't know , I have been doing the low for map diet for the past month with no change in the amount of blood
And I know haemorrhoids arent supposed to hurt in the abdomen ( lower left )above pelvic bone
It never hurts when I pass a stool at the anus , just the lower abdominal area

What I gather from your history is that there is some element of collits along with IBS and hemorrhoids

THe pain in lower abdomen along with mucus and blood in itself is suggestive of collitis

I would suggest you add a probiotic twice a day for two weeks
Also you need:-
Ofloxacillin twice a day for 10days
Ornidazole twice a day for 10 days
You may obtain a prescription for this from your local doctor.

If it does not work in 48-72 hours get back to me, or else continue this for ten days and revert back

Does collitis last 6 months ?
How can it be really diagnosed , should i have another colonscopy ? Laproscopy

Yes if the collitis is left untreated or subclinical medications are given it can last for 6 months and is labelled as chronic collitis

Best examination is stool culture
