Suggest Treatment For Loose Stools And Stomach Pain

default
Posted on Thu, 17 Nov 2016
Question: Hi, I'm hoping you may be able to explain to me what this means. It's not unusual for me to have stomach pains and loose stool. This morning was definitely unusual though. My stool was a very small amount but it was a whitish/yellowish mucus like substance with a couple of hard back nugget type pieces. My stomach pains are gone now but I am concerned what this may mean. Would you have any idea? Thank you.

Brief Answer:
This might well be normal if doesn't keep on repeating

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to Health Care magic, I am Dr , Muhammad Ahmad , I have read your question closely, I understand your concern and will be helping you with your health related problem.

Mucous is a normal part of stools but sometimes it increase in quantity compared to usual, because of infection or inflammation, or a bout of ill digestion.
The description you gave your stool can be normal, stools can be that way if you ate something and didn't chew it well or you chewed it well but it didn't get digested, got clumped up in the gut and was later released from the body as waste matter. i would suggest you not to panic just keep taking what treatment you already take, increase fiber in your food and take easily digestible food.

If that kind of stools keep on showing up for next 1-2 days despite taking easily digestible food and taking more fiber, then this needs to be addressed, in that case i would advise you to visit your doctor but for now just wait and see, plus eat healthy and simple.
I hope this answered your question, If you have more queries I am happy to answer you.
Regards.

Dr.Muhammad Ahmad
