Question: I haven't had to pee all day (about 9 hrs) despite drinking my normal amount and not sweating. I drank about 2.5 litres so far today. I'm 37 weeks pregnant tmro. I have pregnancy induced hypertension. My last test for pre eclampsia was a week ago and was fine.

I read your query and I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply:

1) Lack of urine output in a woman with 37 weeks pregnancy with PIH is a matter of concern.

2) I think you should get your renal function test done immediately to see if your kidneys are getting affected and your PIH is worsening.

3) Though your tests were fine last week, there is rapid deterioration in term pregnancy. Hence you need to get evaluated with blood pressure and blood test screening now soon.

4) Please visit your gynecologist. If you dont get appointment, go to ER.
