Brief Answer:
Please send the Ultrasound report.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
What is your friends age? What are her symptoms? Does she have pain?
A 2 cm stone should be removed or broken down.
I would need to see the Ultrasound to know whether it is causing any obstruction and its exact location.
Please send me the report so I can comment in detail.
She could undergo a ESWL in which we break large stones with laser.
I will wait for your response.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
She requires Urologist intervention.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The file you have attached is not the report but an image of the calculus.
Please send the complete written report.
I want to know the status of the kidney any hydronephrosis, etc.
This stone is unlikely to be dissolved by medicines. It is simply too big. All stones more than 5mm should be removed or broken down. This is much bigger, actually 4 times the threshold for intervention. She should undergo a Ureteroscopic removal of the stone. You will need to consult a Urologist for the same as I feel it would be causing near total obstruction to the kidney and there is the threat of kidney failure if it is not treated in time.
I would not wait in this case and seek Urology consultation at the earliest.
Its a very dangerous thing to have kidney lost due to a preventable simple problem like a stone. Please tell her to manage and see a Urologist and undergo the procedure at the earliest.
Take care,
