Question: This issue just came up in the last couple day. I have iching, burning & also raw areas near where I urinate. I've tried monostat cream and it set me on fire!!

I understand your concern and you have took the right treatment for your signs and symptoms( it may be a yeast infection) but in a rare cases like you, monistat may have side effects that are less serious like burning, itching, irritation of the skin.

Stop use of monistat cream and contact with your healthcare provider to make per vaginal examination to determine the reason of this situation and the proper treatment .

Have sitz baths for 3 to4 times per day until you have per vaginal examination done.

If you don't have possibilities to consult, use over the counter creams that contain hydrocortisone .
