There are three most common possibilities in your case- yeast( fungal) infection, bacterial vaginosis and trichomoniasis.

To rule out the cause I want to know whether you are having any odor along with yellow discharge?

All other symptoms are present in above mentioned conditions but in yeast infection discharge is white in color but when bacterial infection present along with yeast infection discharge can be yellow in color.

Treatment depend upon the cause.

So please let me know about other symptoms and are you taking oral contraceptive pills?

Are you sexually active or not?

Hi,

Nice to hear from you once again.

With your symptoms, it can be most probably due to bacterial vaginosis or due to trichomoniasis.

All the symptoms are present in both condition.

But in trichomoniasis discharge is mostly frothy and yellow green in color and fishy odor is there.

- Antibiotics are effective in both the cases( Metrogyl can be used after consulting your treating doctor)
-You can use vagitab ( vaginally) for 6-7 days.
- Partner should also be treated
- Always use condom during sex
- Maintain vaginal hygiene and use cotton undergarments.
-Use betadine wash, do not douche and never use soap or perfumed product
-Candid cream can be use for local application

If symptoms are not resolved after 6-7 days treatment than you should consult your treating physician and investigations done to rule out the cause.
