Question: My college aged son is experiencing several symptoms. He has headache, chills, fever, occasional blurred vision, pain in his abdomen and "brown" urine. He tested negative yesterday for flu but was given tamiflu for his symptoms. What else could this be?

Thanks for choosing HealthcareMagic

Your son's symptoms are suggestive of Viral Infection. Tamiflu is an anti viral medicine . Just one negative test doesn't confirms that there is no viral Infection.

But he needs to be tested for other possible causes like Typhoid , Urine Infection or other bacterial infections. My advise is to get

Complete Hemogram , IgM Typhi Dot , Urine routine and Ultrasound Abdomen Pelvis scan.

Kindly revert back with reports.
