Suggest Treatment For Headache And Frequent Bowel Movement
Question: I have headaches almost daily and also have at least 5 (usually more) bowel movements daily (most in the morning). I have a high sensitivity to anything cold. I'm 55 years old, eat VERY healthy, and normal weight. I'm 5'4" and weigh 135. I can't figure out these headaches. I've had them for 8 years and they've recently gotten worse (in the last year or so). Whenever I'm at sea level, they go away. I live in XXXXXXX at about 6200 feet. The headaches and frequent bowel movements are what concern me the most.

I've discussed your reply with several friends and family and they think you're the one that needs a psychiatrist. (Joking) But in all seriousness, they don't agree with you. Yes, you're the doctor, but they KNOW me. So, I'm very disappointed in this answer. I agree with the menopausal part. That could be some of it. I just went to a health screening two weeks ago and my health checked out great. Great numbers on BMI, blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, etc. etc. No, they did not do an MRI of course. And no, they did not have a psychiatrist for me there. I will consider an MRI, but I'm not sure it is the right answer. My husband seems to think it could be environmental. I work from home and I'm the only one who gets the headaches and they didn't get worse until I moved to this place about a year ago. I'm on the computer a great deal and he wants to get the place checked for radon, mold, and carbon monoxide. I had an accident 8 years ago that has caused the headaches and neck and shoulder pain. This is why chiropractic and massage has helped in the past. We are going to have this place checked and see if it is environmental. You gave me something to think about, but we all think you are wrong.

Yes, you are right , I may be wrong ,because you didn't mention everything in your previous query ( as there was an accident 8 years back and headache started after that).
As I mentioned in my previous reply that headaches may be due to disease and for that I recommended MRI and also for bowel movement ( that occurs in the morning and 5 times i.e. may be due to incomplete evacuation of bowel in one time ).
As about environmental factors ,may be the reason of headache ( due to allergy by allergens as mold , pollen , fur etc ).
If this would have been the reason , other family members may have these symptoms.
But still I advise you if everything comes within normal limit, after MRI , think about psychogenic problem .
This is my PROFESSIONAL OPINION (based on your history mentioned in query) and I might be wrong after all I am not GOD .
Still you have one option , you can REJECT this answer .
