Question: HI,
I am having genital warts on tip of my penis. They were 2 initially and small in size but now they are ~5. My doctor asked me to apply immiquid cream. i tried for almost 5 weeks having 1 day interval but nothing happened. I am aware of podowart solution as he applied previously on one and warts vanished just after one application but they reappeared again.I had multiple partners but now i am committed and focused on my partner with whom gonna marry soon. I tested negative for vdrl, hiv. If require i can share photo as well. Now i have below questions:-

1) Cant this warts be cured permanently and if not cant their re occurrence be prolonged because in my case they reappear in just 2 weeks.

2) What is the most effective way of treatment of warts in the initial stage. As i had few in the past, i can recognize them in the initial stage itself.they appear like cauliflower.

3) I am going to get marry by feb-15. I dont want my partner to have it. We didnt had any physical relation till now and wont happen till our marriage. To my knowledge she never had any physical relation. How can i avoid giving this to her?

Your expert advice would be a great relief to me.

Hi
Thank you for query. I am Dr Bharatesh D Basti answering your query.
It is good that your tests done for HIV have come negative.
Genital warts are known for recurrence, they will become less frequent over time.the immune system takes over and decreases its recurrence.
You have to take treatment for recurrence.self medication like Podowart can be taken as now you know how to apply it and can apply at initial stages. But you have to follow all the safety.precautions
There are other options like Cryotherapy and cautery.
You will have to use Condoms during intercourse which can prevent transmission to great extent though transmission by skin -skin contact cannot be prevented. It is best always to use condom when active lesion present.
Gardasil vaccine can be given to your partner to protect her from 4 HPV strains.Even it is found in studies that it can reduce the occurrence even in males. So you can consult your doctor regarding this.
You can get back to me for any clarifications.
Thank you

Brief Answer:
available in market

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for follow up query.
As you have recurrent warts I would prefer podowart as you can use it when you see it recurring at early stage itself.
The other option is cryotherapy you have to go frequently to doctor.
Both have similar results.
Gardasil vaccine is available in market you consult your doctor for prescription. It is not banned.
