Question: Hello Doctor,

I am diagnosed with GERD and lately had lots of symptoms. I was put on PPI and suddenly after i had flu..
My symptoms include :
1. chills all the time
2. cold feet and hands
3. chills in patches randomly in the body.

Its been like more than 2 months dealing with this.
I had the following test done
1. Complete blood work which came out that i am B12 and D deficient
2. CT Scan for chest and neck - Normal
3. Lyme disease - Negative
4. Ultrasound for liver and gallbladder normal
5. Endoscopy reflux found
Everything seems to be fine. But i am getting this apparent chills. Can you help me out here. Can it be related to nerve issues or Stress could be reason
One more thing to add is i dont have fever at all. So chills are without fever.

Brief Answer:
Most likely related to anxiety

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your symptoms and investigation reports so far.

I am glad to note that most of those are normal, except for vitamin deficiencies. These deficiencies can be corrected by taking supplements.

As of now, your chills can be explained by stress/anxiety. You may take clonazepam tablets for relief of symptoms.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
