Brief Answer:
Dermatophytosis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
What you are having is superficial fungal infection of skin also called dermatophytoses.
Factors governing the invasion of stratum corneum (outer most layer of skin) are largely unknown, but heat, humidity, and occlusion have all been implicated. Hence the area of infection is commonly between skin folds like groin, arm pit etc.
The dermatophytoses are generally common in wet seasons as these areas remain moist. Keep these areas dry and always use clean, dry undergarment .Don't sleep with your underwears and tight fitting clothes like Jeans etc.

Both topical (creams, oinements) and systemic therapies may be used in dermatophyte infections. Treatment depends on the site involved and the type of
infection.
Topical imidazoles (miconazole, ketoconazole, etc ) are effective therapies for dermatophyte infections Topicals are generally applied twice daily, and treatment should continue for 1 week beyond clinical resolution of the infection.Topical anti-fungals are safe;however it may cause skin irritation and burning sensation from topical applications occasionally.
