Question: Hello I have had an ezcema-like rask on the middle of my stomach above my belt line for about a month. A few weeks ago I also noticed by knees were very dry and also itchy on the backs of the knees. I have also had my hands completely covered in blisters. I went to the doctors a few weeks ago and was prescribed some antibiotics and antihistamine tablets. It all started to clear up but when the tablets ran out it all started coming back. I cant get another appointment until friday so dont know what to do now its getting worse

Brief Answer:
things to do until you see the doctor

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have looked at your pictures and it looks like a severe eczema. I can give you some things to try to relieve the itching until you can see your doctor again.
Take an antihitamine daily and a zantac daily. We usually think of zantac as being for stomach issues but it actually blocks another kind of antihistamine and can help with severe itching.
Us a hydrocortisone cream on the itchiest areas.
Keep the skin moisturized. Dry skin itches more.
Shower less, showering or bathing dries out the skin.
Keep the skin cool, hot skin itches more.
Avoid friction which causes more itching.
Let me know if you have further questions.
I hope you get some relief soon.
