Earlier when I was 26 yrs old, I could enjoy an absolutely healthy intercourse with my girlfriend.... We Used to do it almost 2ce a day for almost 2 yrs.

Now, at the age of 34, although I feel attracted to my wife, and get an erection, whenever I try intercourse, my penis becomes soft, and I find it difficult to insert.

Please suggest some way to maintain erection and firmness of my penis during intercourse, as my wife is showing dissatisfaction.

Pls Note,:
Even today, I can masturbate easily and enjoy it.
I have been masturbating since more than. Last 10 years almost daily.
I have been an occasional alcohol drinker since last 10 years, (2 pegs on an average daily).

I have also been a frequent smoker, with an Average of 3 to 4 cigarettes daily since last 10 years.

By health, I am all fine, and do occasional freehand body exercises.

Hello,
Thanks again for posting at Healthcaremagic.

Below here I am delineating few of the strategies which will help you in the erection problem.

Firstly get rid of thoughts that you may be sexually inadequate or your doubts that you may not be able to perform properly. This is because performance anxiety, feelings of sexual indequacy, self-doubts, guilt, past negative sexual experiences, poor communication / understanding with the partner, etc. can all affect sexual functioning and performance. Removing such ideas will eliminate the majority of causes for your poor sexual performance. Removing the person's doubts and fears, and improving his self-confidence levels will definitely help in improving sexual performance. Remember that sex is not just a physical act but also a psychological process involving an expression of emotions, intimacy and love. So, just involve yourself in those feelings and stop focussing on your "performance" alone. Once you do that, then I assure you that your sexual performance will automatically improve.

Most importantly, performance anxiety soon becomes a "viscious cycle" That is, anxiety leads to poor performance and poor performance then leads to further anxiety and this keeps on increasing. In my view this vicious cycle already established in your case and there is definite need to break it altogether and take control of yourself.

One more problem responsible for psychogenic ED is inadequate sexual arousal. When the person is not properly aroused, the blood flow to the penis is not maximal, and so, after a few strokes, the erection weakens and ejaculation occurs. The way to tackle this is not to rush into intercourse quickly, but wait till you get fully aroused. So, increase and spice-up your foreplay. Make sure that you initiate penetration only after both of you are fully turned on. Good foreplay not only arouses you but also sparks off the mood in your partner. So, when she is also aroused and involved, then things keep flowing smoothly and effortlessly, and you don't have to be constantly anxious if you are satisfying your partner or not.

Distract yourself stop "monitoring" your sexual performance. Try putting on some romantic music or mild lighting while you make love. Think about the things that turn you on. Taking your mind off of your sexual performance can remove the worries that are stopping you from getting fully aroused.

Wish you all the best in your sexual health.

I hope this helps you further.

It's not that it doesn't harden....
The issue is, whenever I insert, It pulls my skin and hurts, and then it softens.
Note... I don't use condoms.

Any recommendations on solving this isaue?

Brief Answer:
Enough foreplay and use of lubricants

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.

I understand that there is no problem in initiation of sexual response but it fails to get completed because of in-between softening of penis.

For this part of problem there is immense need to devote enough time for foreplay. This includes kissing, fondling, cuddling, fingering, sucking, pressing and all activities except penetration. Do not hurry to complete intercourse and take enough time before attempting penetration.

In addition use enough lubricants before attempting penetration. This is important as sex can not be painful and pleasurable at the same time. If you have the pain it indicates that there is inadequate lubrication and need of lubricant is there. I will recommend products from Durex which can be purchased either online sort from local market.

I hope this helps you further.
Thanks and regards.
