Brief Answer:
Treatment modality depends upon following factors.

Detailed Answer:
Hello , Welcome to HCM.

Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you are facing problems of obstructive voiding symptoms due to enlarged prostate .

The modality of treatment is decided on the following factors
1) Size of the Prostate Gland with post void residual urine volume determined on Ultrasound Scanning of abdomen .
2) Severity of symptoms
3) Other associated medical problems like diabetes ,hypertension .any cardiac problems etc
4) Associated irritative bladder symptoms like urgency.
5) Urine flow as determined by Uroflowmetry.

Generally moderate symptoms can be treated with medicines like Tomsulosin with Dutasteride once daily .However the treatment has to be continued till one decides to opt for surgical line of treatment to resect the enlarged prostate (TURP).

The other standard and best option is to resect the enlarged prostate by endoscopic procedure called TURP which is practiced word wide .

You need to consult qualified Urologist .He will evaluate you and decide regarding the treatment suited to you .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
