Remeron is Mirtazapine and the drug is an antidepressant drug. When the drug is discontinued after taking regularly for long time, withdrawal symptoms are seen. Even doses are reduced gradually, even then mild withdrawal inform of brain zaps or electric sensations like restlessness can be seen.
The symptoms of brain zaps you are having during orgasm are most probably due to withdrawal from Remeron. Any thing that results in excitement of body can aggravate these symptoms, like you are having during orgasm. I would advise you to reduce the doses in very slow manner over 6-8 weeks and by reducing the doses by 20-25% every two weeks. Reduction of doses in this manner will prevent any withdrawal.
I would advise you to drink plenty of water before intercourse and avoid any alcohol, excess tea, coffee for some days and you will see improvement. If symptoms are causing significant impairment then low doses of benzodiazepines would prevent any such sensation. You can call your doctor again for prescription of low doses of benzodiazepines.
