Brief Answer:
Please take 5 dose anti rabies vaccine schedule for protection

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX bute261,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. If you got the dog from a registered animal seller then probably it is vaccinated and there is no need to get afraid about rabies because the dog is normal.

2. There was no bite by the dog and therefore the dog is well mannered.

3. Vaccination is important because there was bleeding and in dog bite cases the vaccine is recommended for 5 dose schedule on days 0, 3, 7, 14 and 30. This is international recommendation. Immunoglubulin is given in deep cuts.

4. Your doctor has given day 0, 3 and 7 and it is good if you take vaccination on 10 January and 24 January for precaution. This will give you good antibody protection and there will be no need to worry for next one year if your dog bites again.

5. Please take dog to veterinary doctor and get vaccination for rabies and distemper given every year for protection.

Hope your query is answered.
Please do write back if you have nay doubts.

Brief Answer:
Immunoglobulin is for big cuts and if dog is biting without provocation

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX bute261,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. Dogs are good pets and I have dogs. Some times by mistake when playing then can bite you without knowing. Therefore it is good to take 5 dose vaccination schedule.

2. Immunoglobulin is given in big cuts and when the dog is suspected to be angry and bites many people without provocation. Your licking does not require immunoglobulin.

3. It is better to take vaccine on same day but the 2 day late vaccination will not cause any problem because dog is normal and is vaccinated.

Hope your query is answered.

Brief Answer:
Your dog is normal and make it your friend

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX bute261,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. If your dog is doing well then there is no need to look for any changes. If the dog is having rabies then it will become aggressive in 10 days.

2. Now you should take care of the dog and try to make it friendly towards you. Do not allow it to bite you and let it eat directly from bowl. Do not put hand when in the mouth when dog is eating.

3. The 2 day delay in vaccination is not a problem. You have taken vaccination and it is working.

Hope your query is answered.
Please do write back if you have nay doubts.
