Question: I have a dent in my forehead following have a procedure of Fractora and Facetite on my forehead. I am terrified now to undergo any further surgery but also do not want to live with a dent almost in the middle of my skull. I am a cyclist and I am concerned that a fatty tissue transplant will be disturbed with the continual pressure a cycling helmet could cause. What is involved in this surgery? Risks vs Success?? Scarring?? Downtime??

Filler substance injection is safe and better

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome and thanks for posting your query to the forum.

I can understand your concern for the dent on the forehead.

I have analyzed the picture with best diligence and can make out the depth of the dent. It is quite unusual to have such kind of dent after surgery for anything. I can understand your concern for the same and am really empathetic for the same.

In my patients with your kind of cases I prefer injecting "filler substance" which are simple alternative to fat transfer.

To guide you about the procedure of filler injection: it is a hyaluronic acid based gel substance which is a very good and safe alternative in comparison to fat transfer. It is practically a non invasive procedure require no any downtime and therefore safest of all.

For fat transfer : it requires a set of investigations before the procedure which actually require high expertise of the operating surgeon. So minor to major risks are involved depending upon the expertise of the operating doctor.

You can discuss both the procedures with either are cosmetic dermatologist or a plastic surgeon.

I hope this information will help you. I will be glad to guide you any further.
