Question: My father 75 yrs is suffering from cough and coughed blood once. Had undergone scan the report has been attached. What does irregular thickening of lower lobe bronchus lumen mean is there any tumor in the bronchus

Hello dear,thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
I have gone through the report you have attached.
In my opinion, he is having endobronchial lesion in left lower lobe bronchus. The lesion is occluding the bronchus, so Distal collapse occur.
Possibility of malignant lesion is more.
Because of following things.
1. Age (old age)
2. Hemoptysis
3. Endobronchial occluding lesion with thickened mucosa.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done bronchoscopy and biopsy XXXXXXX (BronchoAlveolar Lavage) analysis to rule out malignancy.
