Suggest Treatment For Constipation, Bulging Neck Vein, Cough, Nasal Congestion

Question: Hi, my name is XXXX I have a 2 year old grandson that was prescribed a multi-vitamin with fluoride manufactured by the Sancilio Company. He has the following symptoms::: Constipation, breath odor, bulging neck veins, cough, dry mouth, flu-like symptoms, fluid retention, nasal congestion, poor appetite, restlessness, runny nose, sleeping difficulty and weight loss. His mother said he was prescribed these multi-vitamins with fluoride because they have well water and he needs the fluoride. Before taking this he had none of these conditions, was healthy and starting to talk and now no talking. I want to know is this medication life threatening and removed immediately with these side effects??? Whats your advice??

Dear Ms

Fluoride is very much essential for dental health. Only prolonged use of fluoride for years causes the signs and symptoms of toxicity. The symptoms that your grandson is facing is unlikely to be due to toxicity of fluoride.

It would be very helpful if you could provide me following additional information

1. What is the duration of symptoms?

2. When do the neck veins bulge? Is it even at rest or during bout of coughing?

3. What is the total weight loss and over what period?

I only had him for a weeks visit and noticed the symptoms, the vein bulging I noticed at rest, the weight loss is 1 1/2 pound in 3 weeks. He had none of these symptoms prior to taking this medication which he started 12-19-14.
