Brief Answer:
Most likely are side effects of taking Pylera.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome to HealthcareMagic.

I read carefully your query and understand your concerns.

Pylera is a combination of medications.
It contains metronidazole + tetracycline + bismuth subsalicylate.
This drug is indicated for eradication of Helicobacter pylori in patients with duodenal ulcer , gastric ulcer, dyspepsia etc.

As any other drug ,beside it's wanted effect ,it has some side effects that can happen during the treatment.
The most common side effects may include : diarrhea, abdominal pain, anorexia, vomiting ,discolored tongue ,dizziness ,taste perversion ,dyspepsia etc.

So abdominal pain ,sore throat and altered taste are possible side effects of this medication.
These effects usually go away gradually after stopping this medication.

I may assume that your doctor prescribed this medication for 10 days in conjunction with a PPI drug like Omeprazole .

If you have finished the course of Pylera ,your symptoms will go away gradually.
If your symptoms doesn't seem to improve consult your physician again.

Meanwhile eat frequent small meals instead of 3 major ones
-Avoid spicy ,fatty foods ,coffee ,chocolate ,juices and any other food that trigger your symptoms of heartburn.
-Drink plenty of water.
-Continue using the PPI drug that you are taking like Omeprazole.

Hope this helps.
Let me know if you have any other questions or doubts to clarify.I will be happy to assist you further.

I wish you a fast and complete recovery.

Kind Regards,
Dr.Rovena Murati.
