Suggest Treatment For Bumps On The Genitals

Question: I was diagnosed with hsv1 genitally about 5 years ago and I have never had an outbreak whatsoever. about 3 weeks ago I saw a a bump on the head of my penis and a couple very small discolored spots near the tip of my penis and a very strong urge to urinate constantly. I mean I always feel like I need to pee even when I just finish peeing and its a nightmare. I am pretty sure that it is my first initial break of hsv1 but the bump has been there and shows no signs of going away or breaking open either. its been almost a month and I'm worried now. do you think that it is my first initial outbreak of hsv1? if not what else could it be? because I have never had this before. also what Over the counter medicine can I buy to help get rid of this constant urge to urinate?

Brief Answer:
Could not be a HSV infection .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .

Bump over glans penis and painful urination along with urgency is mostly due to infection of glans penis (Ballanitis) ,

HSV is characterized by fluid filled vesicles and is also associated with intense itching

It could be a simple bacterial infection of glans penis (Ballanitis)

You need to take broad spectrum antibiotic like Doxycycline (you may need prescription from your local physician for this) along with anti-inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily along with topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin twice daily (these two drugs should be available over the counter of Pharmacy).

Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily.

Ensure to avoid sexual encounters till it heals up completely.

Hope I have answered your query, please feel free to ask if you have more questions, I shall be happy to help you.

Thanks and Regards.
