Question: I hv chronic problem of nose choking every night & sneezing & nose dripping in the morning. I hv been using Awamys Nasal spray but no relief from nose choking. I also take Montec LC at night which prevents my sneezing & nose dripping the next day but I do not get good & sound sleep. What can I do now to get sound sleep. I take Neck to 10 every night for my anxiety treatment. Do I need to take another additional anti anxiety medicine zaps 0.25 mg which my physician used to give few years back?

Brief Answer:
Nasal blockage

Detailed Answer:

Hi

From the complaints it seems to be a nasal pathology leading to nasal congestion and blockage. You should get an X-ray of the paranasal sinuses and send me the picture so that I can suggest better.

Use a Fluticasone nasal spray twice daily for a week and tablet Levocetirizine plus Phenylephrine twice daily. All the medicines I have prescribed will be available only on prescription.

Follow up with the required information. Take care. Thanks.

I was not provided with a doctor last night hence I decided to take tablet zaps 0.25 mg last night with my regular anti anxiety tablet Mexico 10 & had no problem at all. This proves that my problem is mainly related to anxiety. I got my sinuses checked by a GP 2 days back & were found ok. Fluticasone was earlier used by me but then my earlier ENT surgeon prescribed Awamys which suited me. The tablet suggested by you is as per me Montec LC which I take regularly. What is nasal pathology?

Brief Answer:
Nasal blockage

Detailed Answer:

Hi

Nasal pathology means some disease in the nose like a nasal septum deviation or mucosal hypertrophy.
The tablet I have prescribed is different from Montair-LC. It contains a decongestant and will help to relieve symptoms. Continue with the nasal spray and it is better to get an X-ray of the paranasal sinuses done.

Any further questions are always welcome. Take care. Thanks.
