Suggest Treatment For Auditory Hallucinations
Question: My problem is that i hear voices in my head which is like real time talking
and repeating what i am doing,what i m eating,who i am talking to
and it goes on most times except when i m absorbed in t.v or listening
to music.i started believing that it is from a known person and
its some kind of black magic.when i last consulted a doctor
he gave some medications which were effective quite some time
but then again it has all started.i have taken d same course
of medicines of 3 months for 3 times in past 2 years.
now i am very much concerned for my health and career.
please give some medication to end this.

Important aspects of your query are:
• 24 year old female
• Treatment history: Kivipride 50mg, Stalopam plus, Depam, Divaa OD 250 multiple times in last 2 year
• Worry related to treatment, health and career.
You have given very description of your problem which is almost not possible for patient in such suffering. It is possible due to positive effects of current treatment. Although current treatment can be improved further by some modification in medicine doses.
You are hearing unreal voices which are called auditory hallucinations. It happen in psychosis, schizophrenia or severe depression with psychosis. These conditions can be confirmed by in person interview of patients and should be treated by psychiatrist.
In your treatment I would like to start Risperidone in place of Kivipride to control voices better. For that you can request your current Psychiatrist. Rest treatment appear fine to me.

How long do i have to these medicines? N do i have to take them life long??as i took them for 3 months and next few months were fine .but then again i had to take them.i m talking from XXXXXXX right now.i will visit ur clinic when i in XXXXXXX n if its not too unprofessional then u could provide me with ur contact details.

What is d mg for resperidone?? And do i have to take it twice or once a day after meal???

You may require risperidon between 1 mg to 4 mg in single dose in night. Dose can be decided only after in person interview of patient and changed after periodic examination.
