Brief Answer:
Alaspan is the better choice

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanx for the query. It seems that your child is suffering from asthma and this has exacerbated now. He is regularly on seroflo and this episode is not associated with fever so Azee is good for him. Usually some atypical organisms or viral infection precipitate the asthma. Most of the time these organisms don't cause fever. Azithromycin covers these organism well.

Now the question is for Ascoril D or Alaspan. Alaspan is a good antiallergic while ascoril d contains antiallergic with cough suppresent. Cough suppresant ideally should not be prescribed for children,as it retains the cough in airway and that is harmful. So I would suggest you to give Alaspan.
I would also suggest you to give salbutamol inhaler three to four time a days for few days after consulting your physician to relieve the spasm that has caused the exacerbation of cough.
If the symptoms are occurring frequently about once a week then dose of seroflo may need to be increased to control the symptoms.

Sometimes we need to prescribe oral steroid for short duration if symptoms are severe.
So my suggestion would be alspan, salbutamol nebulisation but after consulting your physician only.
I hope this will help.

Brief Answer:
That is good, can increase the frequency

Detailed Answer:
Welcome again
This is really nice to know that you are already giving levolin. I think you can increase the frequency(3-4 times/day) as symptoms are severe.
I don't want to make you worried but you should know that salbutamol inhalation can cause low blood potassium level, increase heart rate and trembling of hands.Usual three to four times of nebulisation does not lead to these problems.
So while nebulising please take care of that. If any problem occurs visit your physician immediately.

Brief Answer:
Follow the advice.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Sorry for delayed reply.

It appears that your child's symptoms have improved. The prescribed medication is right. A long duration treatment is needed in such condition to prevent the recurrence.
So continue the treatment as advised.

You can asked further query if any.
