Brief Answer:
Food habits and exercises for asthma, high blood pressure etc

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Dietary modifications that effectively lower blood pressure are reduced
NaCl intake(limiting daily NaCl/common salt intake to 4.4–7.4 g ), increased potassium intake, and an overall healthy dietary pattern(Diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and low-fat dairy products with reduced content of saturated and total fat).
1 teaspoon of table salt = 5.69 grams (g) table salt mass .Typical XXXXXXX diets provide 4-5 G sodium/day.hence avoid table salt, salty foods like pickles, chips, soup etc and hajmola tablet.
Foods with high potassium improve BP. fruits with high potassium-Amla,Sapola
Peaches,Orange,Papaya,Banana ;vegetables with high potassium-cabbage, Bittergourd,Ladies finger,Cauliflower,Spinach,Potato,Drumstick etc.
Blood pressure may be lowered by 30 min of moderately intense physical activity, such as brisk walking (within limit of tolerance), 6–7 days a week.
For high cholesterol avoid fatty foods like ghee, cheese, butter egg yolk & red meat.

The role of dietary factors in asthma is controversial.Diets low in antioxidants such as vitamin C and vitamin A, magnesium, selenium, and omega-3 polyunsaturated fats (fish oil) or high in sodium and omega-6 polyunsaturated fats are associated
with an increased risk of asthma. Vitamin D deficiency may also predispose to the development of asthma. Obesity is also an independent risk factor for asthma, particularly in women. If obese ( (body mass index >30 kg/m2) or overweight (BMI-25-30) weight loss will also help in reducing high BP.
Certain food additives may trigger asthma. Metabisulfite, which is used as a food preservative, may trigger asthma through the release of sulfur dioxide gas in the stomach. Tartrazine, a yellow food coloring agent, is believed to be a trigger for asthma, but there is little convincing evidence for this.
Cold air may trigger asthma in some individual. They are advised not to expose to cold air,if walking is undertaken in early morning.
Overall in asthma each case may be different.
