Suggest Treatment For A Slightly Painful Birthmark Like Skin Growth
Question: I have what appears to be a sunspot that has been there since my twenties and I am now 47. It seems to have grown. attached to it (has been there for about 3 months) is a flat pencil sized red spot that is slightly painful

I have seen the attached pictures.
You seem to have developed either a seborrheic keratosis or a naevi.
Now both of these are benign or harmless skin lesions but for exact diagnosis,an examination by a magnifying lens or a dermoscope might be required .
So I would advise you to get an appointment and see a dermatologist for a proper assessment of the lesion .
For the time being ,use a medicated sunscreen with spf more than 26 regularly before going out in the sun .Apply it atleast thirty minutes before going out and re apply every three hourly .
Do not apply any other cream or oil over the lesions .
