Brief Answer:
Rifampicin is known to cause rash

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day
Dear Sir

RCinex contains Rifampicin. Rifampicin is known to cause rash. In majority of cases the rash is minor and self limiting and medication can be continued.

If the rash is severe then discontinuation of it is required.

Thanks! Doctor
My one question is unanswered.
I have continued the medicine for 9 months Akt series 5 months and Rcinex 4 months
Everything seems to be fine. All symptoms of disease have vanished. Can I now stop taking medicine or revert back to Akt 3 for remaining 3 months

Brief Answer:
Do not discontinue medication or change the medication

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir

Further continuation of the treatment is required as complete bacteriological cure is the aim and not just absence of symptoms. Do not discontinue medication without prior recommendation from your treating physician.

Brief Answer:
If rash is no severe then continue medication as advised

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir

If your doctor had assessed you clinically and rash is not severe than there is no need for discontinuation. I would suggest you to discuss it with your Physician. Do not change the tubercular treatment without advise of your Physician.
