Is it safe to take N-acetyl Cysteine?
Would it help with COPD?
What is a safe dosage and for how long can I take it?

yes, you can take NAC.

Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
N acetyl Cystiene (NAC) is having following properties.
1. Anti inflammatory
2. Antioxidant
3. Mucolytic
4. Expectorant.
All these actions are beneficial In COPD.
So NAC should be given in COPD.
It is to be given in following dose.
600 mg three times a day. And you can take it through out the life along with inhaler.
