Brief Answer:
Either of the main decongestants is ok with Eliquis

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

I checked using 2 different drug interaction applications on whether there is any contraindication of using

Eliquis + pseudoephedrine

or

Eliquis + phenylephrine,

and either decongestant appears to be safe with Eliquis.

Pseudoephedrine is a more potent decongestant but has the potential to cause insomnia in some people if taken too late in the day. It is sold at drug stores that have a pharmacist, and you have to ask for it (won't be on the regular shelves).

Phenylephrine is milder but may not be as effective. You can find this on the regular shelves. He can use one or the other of these decongestants, but not both.

I hope he is feeling well soon. Hot teas and soups can also help with congestion, and saline rinses (these are sold at drug store) can decrease the swelling in a stuffy nose, too.
