Suggest Remedy For Swelling In Face

Question: I experience swelling in different parts of my face and throat , I have been tested for allergies and it shows nothing. Sometimes an eye will swell shut other times one side of my cheek which could resemble an abscessed tooth yet is not. The most troubling issue is when the inside of my mouth, one side at the very back, swells badly , concern- breathing. I take anti-inflammatories etc. but I have no idea if this helps or not.
I have had a special blood test looking for it, it did not show there either. I am 68, other wise healthy, I use only a prescribed sleeping pill- prescribed nasal spray when required, and with this happening randomly I am very careful to keep uncongested.

The swelling has been going on for over ten years off and on. I can remember attacks every October - November, then it will leave me alone for perhaps a month or two and I will hope it has gone it's way when it returns. A few years ago I felt it might be chocolate related and gave it up, however I eventually had another flair up. I have not noticed wheezing , blood pressure fine, slightly higher but treatment not necessary. Diabetes not mentioned lately and I have had regular blood work over the years. Diabetes in my mothers family. I was tested for diabetes when I was pregnant with the boys who are now 38 and 40 years old. It lasts for about 6 hours from onset to disappearing and I don't know if anything is helping or not. It moves around my face from an eye to a jowl and the worst is when it chooses my pallet. I swell, it does not itch, then leaves without a trace.

Based on the facts of your Updates/Query and its review with Your health concerns ,In My opinion-as specific recurring Food Triggers or Allergens in the food Mostly ,are the cause of these hives in the Mouth and palate?
ALERTS For FOOD TRIGGERS/ANAPHYLAXIS
I would suggest you to study these food triggers,as these could be life endangering,when it occurs with your Soft Palate and that portion of the Mouth,as it encroaches on the Wind Passage.
Angioneurotic edema Reaction after Certain Food Contact in October/November,repetitively raises the alarm of risk this Month also.
In your case there seems to be Food Anaphylaxis with Mouth/Face Only.

When did face/Mouth swelling occur last with YOU?

My jowl swelled like a chipmunk yesterday, and prompted me to contact you. I have always had a suspicion food allergies could be behind it all. Thank you so much for your input. Will taking Allegra at the first signs of swelling be helpful or is a daily dose mandatory?
