Brief Answer:
It is Respiratory Tract Infection. Needs treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for consulting and your trust in HCM means a lot to me as a Physician.
I have completely reviewed your health query, and well realize all those concerns. Being your physician, I will take care all of them today and will extend my expertise to solve the problems.

You have got respiratory tract infection and due to the coughing the muscles of respiration and abdominal muscles got spasm and are painful. You need to start treatment for the infection and also need to soothe the aching muscles for better results.

If I was your treating Physician I would have prescribed you with Azithromycin if not allergic to Plus; Montelukast, Prednisone and Excedrin extra strength by mouth. Take Fexofenadine and a good cough syrup available over the counter.

Apply Bengay ultra stretch gel on the aching muscles and give heat via heat pad. Apply ThermaCare HeatWraps on the aching muscles for soothing and constant heat while on the go. It gives heat to the deeper tissues and is good for recovery.

Take plenty of fluids and keep a healthy balanced diet. You need to do gargles with saline lukewarm water. Also do nasal douches with the same water.

Keep a warm mist vaporizer in your room with vicks pads in it for soothing breathing and it will also help you for shortness of breath.

Hope I answered all of your queries. Let me know if you have further clinical concerns or doubts. I will be more than happy to get back to you.
