Suggest Remedy For Sore On Jaw And Lips While Having A History Of Shingles

Question: I have sores in my jaws and lips, gums sores and bleeding, dr has me on acyclovir and I have had shingles before , could this be a reoccurance

I have gone through your query and being your physician I completely understand your health concerns.
Since you have shingles before in your life then there is probability that you may experience recurrence. Do send me the picture of ulcers.
Acyclovir is good drug since it decreases the recurrence rate but also decreases the pain after the shingles. It also reduces the duration if illness too. You should also discuss with your physician regarding the vaccination.it is very useful in this setting.
Apart from it you should also use mouth rinses and topical lignocaine to relieve pain.
