Brief Answer:
Possibly mentation slowing. Active life will improve it.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Slowing of mentation with age is common. This could be the reason for being unable to answer at the time.
2. This is not related to any dementia or Alzheimer's and is usually a age related process mostly.
3. Being active mentally and physically and being interactive with active social participation will help in slowing down the process of slowing of mentation.
4. No side effects of medication. If problem persists with loss of memory, difficulty in talking, or managing self, then neurologist opinion maybe necessary. At present, not to worry.

Hope it helps.
