Brief Answer:
Mother needs to see a doctor

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

Your mother aspirated on food yesterday and she is still exhibiting severe pain in her throat. It is possible she has another cause to her swallowing problems and she should be seen right away. She could have food still stuck in her throat or she may have an obstruction from something else or an esophageal motility problem. All these things needs to be checked by her doctor to find why she aspirated in the first place and to decide if she is as risk for aspirating again.
