Suggest Remedy For Headache
Question: Hi Doctor,
We have kept an oxygen cylinder at home to simply give him oxygen in between.
What I believe that why his condition has not improved is because from the past one month we have been taking him to so many hospitals and to so many places which has always kept him in anxiety and tension and has slowed down his recovery. So many tests and so many places has really made him tired.
His headache has reduced as compared to yesterday.
We are giving him Crocin 650 and he looks better to me now. His oxygen level also looks good though headache still persists and comes back now and then, he has no problem in looking into bright light or any problems like that except pains in his back of the neck to his head whenever he get headache.
Now we have decided to keep him at home and not put him under any sort of pressure or tension. We have made a chart and are keeping a strict control of his water input and output. Also mother is checking his BP and Temperature at regular intervals which seems quite normal.
We have also planned on giving him more proteins in his diet like egg whites and may start making chicken and reduced the salt intake to almost zero.
Our only tension is his headache should not cause him more problems. Now we pray that his headache becomes ok soon so that we don't have to take him for any more scans and give XXXXXXX maximum rest and positivity.
He slept very well last night and had no headaches when asked in the morning. Crocin was given to him at 8:30 pm last night and now in the morning he complained of head ache after getting up from sleep but it is ofcourse lesser than yesterday and we have given him a crocin again in the morning, Another medicine that we have added is Thyrox 25 mg. and we are planning for a re test of thyroid after Diwali.
Please give us your views on this whenever you are free.

Note: On the day of his MRI AIMS( 16th October) made his fast from the previous night to 2 pm next day and he had a very stressed out 3 and a half hour MRI. and was very much exhausted also he could not take any medicines that day.
His last Echo done was on (14 th October) Which showed EF 22% and above.

It's a food decision to take. He needs rest and time for recovery.
Yes he can take crocin 3 times a day, it's action lasts only 4-6 hours, so again he may residual headache post it. However it should completely subside by 48-72 hours post stopping ivig.
Some home care as I would suggest
1) comparative rest, no strainful physical or mental activity
2)healthy diet with good protein, omega fatty acid. May consider supplement of cod fish oil capsule 2 gms /day, krill oil, flax seeds are other sources.
2) atleast 2 serving of fruits a day, will supplement him necessary potassium, magnesium and fiber
3) A multi vitamin with minerals may be added for whatever benefit, as thiamine, pyridoxine, selenium are important supplement particularly dilated cardiomyopathy
4) some bed elevation while he sleeps, 30-45, I will prevent any lung congestion and extra load on heart
5) mostly he will not require oxygen , but yes you can keep it. Maintain Saturation above 95%, if less than 90%, take him to an ER.
6) continue medication
7) daily weight would be easy way to maintain input / output, steady dry weight should be maintained
8) do not put pressure on him and make him feel sick. Rather he can start his daily routine withen 1-2 weeks, including working
9) may visit your doctor first after 15 days and than atleast monthly.
Just relax, our best hope is to attain whatever reversible by 6 months to a year, and later on take a call on future plan of action.

And Doctor today our family Doctor came home to meet him. He is a physician and said that the medicines we are giving is good and he told us to add FLAVEDON MR.
Is it ok to give that is my question and also we have planned to buy a weight machine and monitor his weight everyday.
One more doubt is there any special Fish COD capsule any particular one? for him??
