Suggest Remedy For Dryness And White Patches On Foot

default
Posted on Mon, 14 Dec 2015
Question: In the past month, I've noticed the arch of my foot having dry, white patches. I've tried lotions, moisturizers, even aloe body wash doesn't heal it. Is this a disease or something common while working on hard floors like Walmart? Because I've never had them until now and I've used Dr. Scholls foot pad as well.

Brief Answer:
Common in dry winter months, not a disease

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
I have gone through your complaint and reviewed the attached photographs.
The dryness and scaling is quite common in dry winter months and is sometimes associated with occupational factors as well. It doesn't seem to be any disease unless and until it is associated with itching, burning or any other symptoms.
Wash your feet with lukewarm water, don't use soaps on the feet and use a good quality moisturising cream having contents like XXXXXXX butter, urea, glycolic acid or white paraffin. Use it frequently and liberally on the feet. Also go for regular oiling of your feet.
This will help you.
I hope to have answered your query.
I would be happy to clarify any further doubts.
Regards
Dr Asmeet
