Suggest Remedy For Anxiety After Taking Prozac

Question: I have yet another question...I am still feeling anxiety (not as bad) after taking 20mg of Prozac for a week. Can it take longer than a week to work and should I change it to 10mg. Also...can you start taking another medication immediately after stopping prozac?

In most of the cases prozac take two to three weeks to demonstrate convincing effect in anxiety. In few of the cases only we see some positive effects during first week as it is dominated more by side effects. You are one of the lucky person as you have some improvement at the end of first week itself.

Many of the medicines can be taken immediately after or along with prozac other than serotonergic drugs at high doses or MAOI class of antidepressants.
Whatever you plan to take, consult beforehand to know the risks and benefits.

Having this I do not think you need another anti anxiety as you are responding well to prozac.
