Brief Answer:
Minor symptoms.

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for your question and welcome to HCM. I understand your concern.

Well, such problems in a 26 year old are not a big problem. There are a lot of people who suffer from gluten-containing food which give them bloating problems. But, they do just appear to anybody at a young age with a gluten-irritative disorder. I am not saying this is your case. You can try and restrict the flour-containing food. If I were your treating doctor, I would not suggest any further treatment about this condition. Although, OTC spasmolytic agents would help in this case, about the bloating-relieving symptoms. As about the constipation, it is accepted a defecating episode in two days as normal, in your age. If constipation is present for three or more days, you can take OTC duphalac for this matter.

I hope I was helpful with my answer. I am glad to help, if you have follow-up questions. Please rate the answer, if you do not.

Best regards,
Dr. Meriton

Brief Answer:
Welcome back.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.

At this point, besides the advice given in the first answer, after providing this information, I would recommend a complete blood count and a test for determining occult blood in the stool. Based on the result, a consult with your physician would be appropriate, also about the medication you are taking. Bloating, even if minor, can cause pain or discomfort in the abdomen.

I hope I have been of help.

Kind regards,
Dr. Meriton
