Suggest Remedies To Fight Sugar Cravings

Question: I just love food and always overeat. I work long hours most of the time and find myself too tired to hit the gym. I hear about products like Forskolin, Garcinia Canoba (sp?) but not sure about truthfulness of ads because I know they are just there to sell a product. I wish there was a pill that made food taste bad so I could eat less. Is there something I can take that would really work to curb my appetite? I'm also a sucker for sweets. I wish I could curb my cravings for sweets. What do you suggest?

Brief Answer:
Some practical advice

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM to post your question.

I read it carefully and I understand your concern.

It is not a sin that you enjoy food as it is made to be enjoyed.

Of course you should think about taking care of yourself though, because together with the enjoyment comes the guilt, feeling bad and low self esteem, diabetes, ect.

Here are some practical advice I give to my patients:
-- Substitute foods with high calories with healthier ones- an orange better then one glass of orange juice, bread and salad better then one slice of pizza, and so on.
-- More fruits and vegetables and less greesy foods.
-- Reward yourself with one dessert per week...only one per week though.
-- Exercise at least 5 times/week, for at least 20 minutes.
-- You can use Metformin 500 mg 3 times/day to help with losing weight. I would say to avoid it, but if you must then this is with less side effects then others.
-- Drink plenty of fluids.

Hope this is helpful.
