default
Posted on Mon, 25 Jul 2016
Question: I have chord like structure visible along shaft, it is palpable, visible, but lacks coloration of a vein. uncomfortable sex is a result, any downward force on my erect penis causes severe discomfort. My Urologist said it could be a strained ligament and that it would heal but its been 4 months and the condition has not improved at all. at a full flaccid state the chord is very visible, palpable, and aesthetically bothersome. causing me anxiety as I would like to continue having sex but this is just messing with my head too much. Honeslty not convienced it isn't a thrombosed vein or something like mondors disease of the penis

Brief Answer:
A photo and a doppler ultrasound scan are needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist,i can understand your concern.

There're no ligaments in penis, that can appear on the shaft.

Yes,the veins could be involved in Mondor's disease.
The other condition to consider,is Peyronie's plaque on the upper part of the shaft.
This can be made out by a clinical examination.

A penile doppler ultrasound scan, will confirm the diagnosis.

So do the following the tests and send them here, for an expert opinion.:
1. blood routine,RBS,LFT,creatinine, platelets and STD panel tests.
2. Penile doppler ultrasound scan.
3. A photo of the erect penis.

Wish you well.
