He will do physical examination and will auscultate your chest with a stethoscope. Then Chest XRay or CT Scan if needed will be done. He may also go for a sputum culture and sensitivity test to see if this is bacterial or fungal pathogen that is causing this infection for so long. This way targeted therapy can be started and can be well managed.
