Question: Hi Doc..
Wanted some advise regarding my knee. I had some pain in the back of knee and MRI scan confirmed that it is a partial ligament tear. Now over period of time with precautions like knee cap and cautios postures, the severe pain went away. But since month now, I do encounter few random pinch attacks in knee. Suggestions??

Brief Answer:
Can be due to decreased joint lubricant.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
I have seen the attached report. You have a partial tear of posterior cruciate ligament. On conservative treatment, it can take 6-8 weeks to heal properly. The minor pinch like pain that you experience now can be due to mild reduction in the joint lubricants as suggested by your X-ray- reduced joint space. Taking joint lubricant supplements like Glucosamine and doing regular knee strengthening exercises will help.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
