Question: I just sent a question to the Doctor about very reddened lips. I paid to receive an answer. When will I hear? I use lip balm all the time, but my lips have become very red, but not swollen and they burn. They are not cracked.

Brief Answer:
Seems to be cheilitis, cortisone cream & tablet cetrizine

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
I have gone through your complaints and according to me you have developed cheilitis which is inflammation of the lips.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to apply topical steroid like cortisone cream on the affected areas twice daily along with frequent and liberal application of vaseline lip therapy on the entire lips for 7-10 days.
Besides this take antihistaminic like tablet Cetrizine 10 mg once daily at bedtime.
This will help in resolving your problem.

Dr Asmeet
