Suggest Remedies For Chlamydia And Fungal Vaginal Infection

default
Posted on Mon, 25 Apr 2016
Question: I have been diagnosed positive for chlamydia. I went to the doctors for yeast infection symptoms (thrush/heavy yellowish discharge). They took a culture then they made me do a urinalysis and have blood drawn a week later when they called me back in. I was retested and treated the same day. I've only been with 2 men in the last 9 months and both of them are currently negative and I've seen their records and they never had it. I had a full screening in October due to a severe yeast infection with abnormal symptoms and everything was absolutely clear besides the yeast infection which I was treated for. How is this possible?? Even if I did have it I've had unprotected sex, oral (giving/receiving) and vaginal with both of them more than than 3 or 4 times. The last instances were within days of each other so how could neither one have it if I even possibly had it. I am military, they test for all these things any time anything is abnormal with that area. I have not done ANYTHING remotely sexual with anyone or anything else. PLEASE HELP.

Thank you for query.I am Dr Bharatesh D Basti answering your query.

Welcome to health care magic.I have gone through the details and can make out your anxiety.
Both chlamydia and yeast (fungal) infection can be symptomatic in males. So they do not manifest or manifest late.
Females manifest with discharge, itching etc.
Now you take complete treatment for same as prescribed by your doctor.
Maintain genital hygiene.
It is better to use condoms if either of you or partners have multiple partners.
There are chances of recurring infections as they can be re-transmitted between partners.

If possible they can take get investigated and take treatment if any doubtful symptoms.

You can get back for any clarification.

You didn't answer my question at all..? How is it possible that I could be tested in October, be negative of everything and they've been tested bi-monthly and been negative of everything, even up until now. But my test came back positive 2 weeks ago for chlamydia. I've had unprotected sex with them both & we all got tested the same day, urine and blood. I haven't been with anyone else sexually

Brief Answer:
Details explained.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for query.

There are several possibilities for such results:

1.In Males the tests can have higher false negative rates. If they have passed urine prior to the tests more chances of negativity.
2.They have been infected, but their body has cleared the infection.

3 You are infected and it hasn't yet transmitted chlamydia to your boy friends.
4 You had a false-positive test, i.e. you are really not infected .

So it is better to take complete treatment for all.
I hope these possibilities clarify your doubts.

You can get back for any clarification.
