I was suggested by my Dr friend, Clavam 625 & Combiflam oral tabs and soframycin topical ointment. The intensity of the boils have decreased by the lumps are still felt. Also i develop new boil with itching again.. what is the cause ?. I am also consuming alchohol heavily and daily for last two weeks .. Will this affect the function of antibiotic ? Or should I consult a Doctor immediately .. or should I stop taking Alchohol for the next days to see the effect of the antibiotic ? Please advice.

Hi
Welcome
I have gone through your query and do understand your concern.
I would not suggest you to take the antibiotic or matter of fact any medicines without consulting.
It would have been better if you can upload the pictures of it , that help in providing you with specific advice.
Alcohol affect many drugs, and can decrease it's effectiveness. So when taking antibiotic it is better to avoid alcohol.
I would like to know since when you are facing this problem.
I would suggest you not to squeeze them as it increases the risk secondary infection and also the spread.
An examination is required to confirm whether it is boil or abscess.
Boil can be addressed by local application of antibiotic ointment and by avoiding scratching.
Where as abscess requires surgical intervention.
So I would suggest you to see general surgeon get them examined.
Hope this helps
Take care.
