Question: I suffer from hypotension. Blood pressure 70's, 80's. What can I do for severe low pressure Sunlight bothers my eyes and I find it difficult to function. Had an heart valve replacement and was better a few months, but now I'm back to this problem,

1.this level of 70 or 80 is systolic or diastolic ? When we say BP is 120/80.we mean 120 is systolic and 80 is diastolic .so please mention about it
2.which valve replacement you have undergone ?Is it Aortic valve replacement ?How long back the surgery was done?
3.At present which medicines you are getting ?

My blood pressure is 75 over 50. I had an aortic valve replacement 9 Months ago. I was told to take Midodrine as needed, but it doesn't help much.

your hypotension must be evaluated

Hello
Your blood pressure is indeed on lower side.75/50is too low.you must get your echocardiography done to know your pumping function of heart.It is expressed as LVEF.If you have low EF you must take ionotropic injection like dobutamine as hospitalised patient.
If your LVEF is normal we should go for evaluation for non cardiac cause like adrenal insufficiency,drug effect ,sepsis .
Please inform me which medicines you are getting and your latest echo report.
