Brief Answer:
It means it can not say whether it is positive or negative

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
This is Dr Sameer, cardiologist from Fortis Hospital.
Inconclusive stress test means it can not say whether it is positive or negative.
In any stress test, we have to reach a target heart rate either by exercise or drug to see the effect of stress on heart.
Inconclusive stress test can be because you did not reach a target heart rate & test has to be stopped before that. So they can not tell whether it is positive or negative.
I expect you must have done a TMT & they had to stop the test before target heart rate.
So in that case if stress testing is required, it can be done with medicine & the test is called Dobutamine Stress Echo(DSE).
Thanks
Take care

Brief Answer:
Consider it negative

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
As i said earlier, they have not reached a target heart rate which should be 85% of maximum heart rate (which is calculated as 220-age of patient).
They have reached only 81% & that is why they have reported it as inconclusive.
So if you had no symptoms or ecg changes during this period than you would not have any changes at 85%. So consider this as Negative (which is normal).
If you still want a better test, you can still go for Dobutamine Stress Echo which is considered a better test than TMT & will tell exactly whether positive or negative.
Thanks
Take care
