Suggest Medication For A Bipolar Patient
Question: I have a question about medication for a bipolar adolescent (male). Can you make suggestions of a medication that would work better than Triliptal? It is making him sleepy in class and lethargic. I have an appointment to change his medication tomorrow and I would like to be able to make an educated suggestion to the Nurse Practitioner.

In this scenario the lithium is better choice if your manic pattern is euphoric mania and bipolar disorder is dominated by manic illness.
In case of otherwise I will prefer to use Abilify as it is non sedative and do not cause any impairment while used in day time.
