Brief Answer:
Please, what are the names of these drugs?

Detailed Answer:
HI and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this worry. Unfortunately, the names of your medications are not clear enough. I will suggest that you write the names out again so that I can review and say whether it is a good way to switch from one to another. Also, looking at the possibility of this helping you get off Zolpidem as well.

Let me hear from you and do promise to get back to you as soon as your information gets here. Until then, I wish you well.

I was taking elavil 20 mg for about a month and zolpiderm 10 mg for a month previous. I have not been reacting well with the elavil. I was on trazadone 25 mg in the past and had no issues and did not need to tak zolpiderm as well. I am going to switch back to just the trazadone 25mg in an effort to get off the zolpiderm and the elavil. I haven't taken the elavil for two days and have significant vomiting due to with drawls. Can I just start up t trazadone right away?

Brief Answer:
You can start trazodone at this time!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this clarification. the question is very clear to me at this time.

Yes, you can go ahead and start trazodone. am just concerned why you were switched off a single drug that worked well for you to try multiple ones no one was sure of. However, NEVER take trazodone and elavil together as they can cause a drug interaction.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Keep me updated!

Thank you. And will there be any additional withdrawals to come off the zolpiderm? I feel so sick today just hoping the trazadone will settle everything down?

Brief Answer:
We are hopeful but not certain!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

It is difficult to tell whether trazodone would be able to compensate for the zolpidem withdrawal. However, if you stopped this drug abruptly, I will suggest that you consider establishing a plan for gradual weaning rather. I will say carry on with the trazodone and should we get positive results, that would be helpful. However, it is difficult to immediately say this might work because there is no documentation on this at this time. Am actually interested knowing how this plays out.

I hope this sheds on light. Let me hear what your experience and symptoms are.
