Suggest Alternative Medication For PBZ Taken For Allergy

Question: My wife has struggled with allergies for years. She gets sick on average twice a year with sinusitis and has to get antibiotics. She used to take a drug called PBZ with good success. Unfortunately, PBZ was discontinued. Can you offer some alternatives that work as well as PBZ?

I can understand your concern.
No substitute for PBZ.
But newer anti allergic drugs can be used in your case.
Allegra is having fexofenadine. Better to take Allegra M. It is having fexofenadine and montelukast (anti allergic).
Montelukast is very useful to control allergy.
Intranasal spray containing steroid (fluticasone) is also indicated in your case.
So you should try these newer drugs for better symptomatic.
